Southern Illinois vs Indiana State--Semifinals 4:15 CST

Sycamores played with a ton of confidence last night and I hope that can carry over to today. I was worried the Syc's would come out flat with no confidence after dropping the last 3 of the season, but to be honest, the 2nd half might have been our best offensive half of the season. Everyone contributed and that's what it's going to take to win again today.

I see SIU winning this today in a tight one.

How many additional SIU fans will be in attendance today? You have to think that Elgin is secretly hoping SIU is playing on Saturday right?

Have to disagree. Saluki's experience "tired legs syndrome" in 2nd half. Shots stop falling and defense gets soft. Not enough depth or adrenaline for Barry's boys in this one.

Today and tomorrow is where the depth of Indiana State, WSU, and MSU will be valued. SIU doesn't have enough talent on the bench to keep it going.

sounds like Gant may be out for tonight, ISU just can't figure out Barry Hinson and the ugly dogs, hoping for an ISU win, but expecting SIU to win this one handily.

Since nobody is going to beat the Shocks, it really makes little difference who wins. Since both can't lose, I'll go with SIU. SIU knows it can beat the Trees. They did in Cabondale, and almost did in Terrible Haute.

I want Barry to win. I'm also annoyed that SIU is single handedly peeing on WSU's resume. Cost us two top 100 rpi wins yesterday, possibly cost us two top 50 wins over ISUb. But still ... go dogs.

I'm hearing it's an ankle injury. Nothing official has been announced by the team. This would be a big loss for us but it's not all that bad. I've been begging for K.Smith to get more playing time in big games and it appears, whether Gant plays or not, that will happen. Dude is a stud and we need him to be on the floor as much as possible.
