I disagree. Outside of SIU's Top 3-4, they shouldn't have been close to UNI or ISU. That roster is either crap or underclassmen (exception: Jackson).

If the Salukis seriously take this (I don't think they will), Barry's job goes down as one of the best non-Marshall jobs in the modern MVC for me. Their non-conference RPI was 318 for a reason. Barry's elevated SIU by 121 spots in a 2-month span. Simply incredible.

With or without Gant:

Sycamores by 13. Talent and depth disparity is too much, and the NCAAT was ISU's season-long goal. I don't think they'll be plagued by their infamous mental lapses this weekend.

What is the injury?

I'm hearing it's an ankle injury. Nothing official has been announced by the team. This would be a big loss for us but it's not all that bad. I've been begging for K.Smith to get more playing time in big games and it appears, whether Gant plays or not, that will happen. Dude is a stud and we need him to be on the floor as much as possible.

Um, one of your underclassman just won the conference Player of the Year award, so I'm not really following your argument. The reason why we blew out Indiana State once already this year by 19 - our underclassman trio of Bola, Smithpeters and Obrien are turning out to be that good. Oh, and another underclassman - Anthony Beane, has been even better.
