Jake Odum

Jake definitely deserves his own thread as he approaches the end of his college career.

Jake has been an outstanding player for 4 years. He's also been the type of person that makes fans proud to have him at their school. I'm proud to have had him in the Valley, even though I hated him because of how he could cut up my teams' D and take over a game.

If there ever was a player who deserved a standing ovation from his opponents' fans at the end of his last game in the conference, it was Jake Odum. I'm proud of Ron Baker for making sure the Shocker fans expressed the deserved respect and appreciation for the career Odum had.

Odum is one of the better 4-year players in the modern era of the Valley.

He is a better person than a player and that is the highest compliment I can give. I loved watching him play and hated playing against him.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

I will forever have the utmost respect for Ron Baker. What a classy young man and a wonderful representative for WSU.

Jake Odum was the one reason Ind. St. won at Bradley this year. Such a smart and classy player. Glad we don't have to play against him again.

Just learned that JO hand is not broken. He just has a sprain and Coach Lansing said that He will play post season. (NIT)

What Jake Odum has done for Indiana state is just remarkable. He turned a school who was a laughing stock in the mvc into a well respected school. Now yes he wasn't as spectacular like in his freshman year and that's most likely do to the foot and knee injuries that plagued him since his sophomore year. This kid is as tough as they come. I mean who plays a game with basically one hand for a stretch in a game, or half a season with a STRESS FRACTURE in their foot? (Sophomore year) I'm proud that he is Sycamore. And now when you talk about Indiana State, you will mention Larry Bird and now Jake Odum (Deserves it). Wish we could have him 1 more year, get the Grant Gibbs eligibility. lol

Jake Odum is fine young man and a competitor, but let not blow this out-of-context ----- Jake Odum <<<<< Larry Bird. Larry Bird lifted a program to greatness and All-American.

Jake is one of the main reasons college basketball is relevant again in Terre Haute. Almost brought a tear to my eye when he got the a standing o from the Shocker fans...well deserved. We sure will miss him.

Agreed. He was a good college player and he is what he is but not in the Bird range................not even close.
