Confirmed teams:

Brown, Columbia, Grand Canyon, IPFW, Holy Cross, MSU, Murray St, Nebraska-Omaha, San Diego, Valpo, VMI

Obviously not the teams you want to associate with but once again, this thing will be winnable

Yeah, not the best. Still, I think this makes a lot of sense for a team like MSU. A chance to get some young guys a little more time on the court, and a chance to work on some things as a team against competition that doesn't know you as well as the league. I think this is a good building block for a young team on the rise like MSU. I think the keys are to treat the games as a precursor for next year, working on young guys, and to not make this touney the consistent post-season acceptance of the program.

Good luck!

It's a good thing that Northern Iowa decided to not play, that group looks way to tough for them to hang with.

Will be a good experience. Wish Marshall could have gotten some too.

What's your beef with a team not wanting to participate in one of these tourneys? The competition isn't good, there is no financial incentive, they've already endured 5-6 months of games, not counting practice and summer workouts and this extra time also allows coaches a jump start on preparations for recruitment, the summer and the next season.
[Insert snappy comeback]
