So Villanova loses a bad-ish one. Kansas drops one to Iowa State.

I'd guess the competition for the last one seed is between Wisconsin and Duke?

Michigan could steal it as well, IMO, if they win the B1G tourney and Duke fails to win the ACC.

Seems possible, but 7 losses despite #87 noncon SOS, loss to #150 Charlotte, three total losses outside the top 50 RPI?

Wisconsin seems to have a much better resume, even if they lose to Michigan.

Virginia will be in the conversation as well if they win the ACC tourney

Their resume doesn't seem strong enough: sub-.500 against the top 25 and top 50, just 10 top 100 wins. 43 SOS. 35 point loss to Tennessee.

I guess they'd have to get two more to win it, but at the moment they have about the same number of wins against top RPI teams in every category as WSU, yet six losses, and people are unhappy with our resume.

Man, Michigan's profile is rough around the edges but I don't know who else to put on the 1 line if they win the BTT.

Thought: if we get Wisconsin/Michigan in the B1G title game, the winner goes to the 1 line and the loser goes to Wichita's bracket on the 2 line.

Look for either the BiG champ or the ACC champ to get the last #1.
So, TAS, is there any way Oklahoma St. can get off the 8/9 seed lines? I really, really, don't want to play them in the first weekend.
Hey, you have to play somebody, some day. Second round you don't get a 1 VS 15. Don't like 1 VS 8 possible, volunteer for a 2 or3 ranking...But all the mid bracket teams are tough--they are the meat of the big conferences!

By the way, the NIT bid poaching watch for Indiana State has reached 10 - Utah Valley and UC Irvine.

My personal NIT bubble right now:
Indiana
Marquette
St Mary's
Richmond
---cutline---
Indiana St
Washington
Boise St
San Francisco
Middle Tennessee
Ole Miss

Remaining bid poaching situations exist in the Sun Belt, Southland, MEAC, Big Sky, CUSA (if Tulsa wins), and A-10 (if St Bonaventure wins).

We were projected on some sites as high as a 3 seed in the NIT before the conference tourneys began. :x It looks like it's 50/50 at this point. The website i've been following for a while ( http://bracketmatrix.com/nit.html ) has us in as a 7 seed, and the last at-large selection over San Francisco.
