I wonder if agents are trying to convince Mr. Baker to test the NBA pre-draft camps, I think he would get drafted this year if he wanted to be. Just a thought.

He was getting a lot of NBA talk and showing up on a few draft boards after going three or four straight games early in the season where he scored 20+. Then after a few lower scoring games the talk died down. If he improves at all next year, I think he'll start getting more consistent discussion.

If they let me pick any five players I wanted to start a D1 basketball team, my first pick would be Ron Baker. He is a fantastic player, both offensively, and defensively.

Just heard one of the college hoop talking heads on the radio say, Early and Baker will play in the NBA, Baker is smooth with 3 point NBA range, at this point in his career better than Kyle Korver.

Baker is the only Shocker outside of Early with NBA potential.

Ehhhhh, Kyle Korver has had a really, really good career in the NBA. If Baker has a career of equal magnitude then good for him. But people don't realize how good Korver has been.

I don't remember much of Korver before his senior year, but if Ron is as good at the same age that's saying a lot when you put it with all his other skills. It certainly bodes well for his chances.

Van Vleet may. Tough to say what he'll be like as a senior. He lacks size and elite athleticism, but his level of improvement was incredible this year.

He has an outside shot at being drafted, but that's still a shot.

I would say that Baker "projects" as an NBA PG, whereas Fred does not at this time.

I agree. Baker is very likely to be in the NBA, IMO. Doesn't mean that FVV doesn't have the potential to play himself into opportunities, though.
