Best thing that happened for Drake was starting point guard Frank Wiseler was injured and didn't play. Without Wiseler, Bulldogs actually ran an offense, pushed the ball up the court and penetrated. Of course, it helped that Chicago State is absolutely pathetic.

Bulldogs needed an easy one after the horrendous loss to Dartmouth. I hope that game was a real wake-up call for Phelps.

Yes and no, more than anything Norfolk St is the most undisciplined team I've seen in quite some time. They actually have some talent, but you could just see them getting frustrated and falling apart even with the lead. Every single foul....ALL 38.....they argued about every single call. They pushed, they shoved, they trash talked more than any 8-1 team I've ever seen, let alone a 1-8 team. One player (#35) actually argued with the ref for like 3 possessions over a foul he thought should've been called on a teammate.....it would've been his teammate's 5th foul. Down by 15, they were still fouling HARD with 7 seconds left. I just can't stress enough how unimpressed I was with their mental makeup. On a positive note, Clint Hopf is looking better and better, played an excellent game tonight.
