Projecting five years out, who do you think improves and regresses?

I think Missouri St will be a force while Indiana St will fall into the dregs.

Drake- Improving. Giacoletti's building a strong foundation.
Bradley- Improving. Great recruiting class translates to better results.
SIU- Improves with Hinson steering the ship.
Ill St- Improves thanks to second best team of athletes in the valley.
Wichita- Same high level. Still class of the Valley. Less dominant as other teams get better though.
UNI- Remains consistent. Drops in the standings as other teams get better.
Missouri State- Stays about the same.
Evansville- Stays about the same.
Loyola- gets worse with Moser as coach.
Indiana State- gets worse.

Moser might get a short hook cause of the new AD coming in next year. I think a new coach would have us trending up given the talent on the roster.

As for the other teams:
BU- up. Great recruiting class
Drake- up a little. Giacoletti won't be a bad coach for them
UE- probably downwards, though I'd be interested to see their team next year
ISUb- down but only because they were doing so well
ISUr- hopefully up. I'm not sold on Muller as a coach, but I think if they're good it could be a nice little rivalry between us and them. Ditto that with Bradley
MSU- about the same, but probably slightly down
UNI- up. I like their recruiting
SIU- about the same as well
WSU- Down but only because I don't see them going undefeated. Other than that, they'll still be elite as long as Marshall is there.

Bradley - Way up. I still have faith that Geno can get it done and I think he will get Bradley performing at a very high level.
Drake - Up. Giacoletti has them headed in the right direction.
UE - Same. Simmons will still be there and there will be some new guy putting up 25 pts a game while UE still finds themselves in the middle of the conference sometimes and spending a couple Thursday in St. Louis other times.
ISUr - Same/Up. I think Muller will have ISUr as a middle-of-the-pack team some years with a chance at competing for a national championship some years.
ISUb - Down. I think Lansing is a decent coach but I just can't see them competing for championships in the future.
Loyola - Same Moser sucks but they can't do much worse. Hopefully there's a new coach in there by then.
SWOMO - Down. I think Lusk will find himself another job after experiencing some success in the next couple of years.
UNI - Same. Not much to say here.
SIU - Up. Barry is great. He will certainly have SIU in the top-half, don't know how high he can take them.
WSU - Down. It's almost impossible to replicate what's already been done and if I had to bet I'd say Marshall isn't coach in Wichita in 5 years, too many possibilities could open up.

Bradley - Up. Yeah I'm a homer. But with the talent upgrades it will be one heck of a feat NOT to improve.
Evansville - Up. Marty's bringing in 3 JUCO All Americans this year. I don't know how but he did.
Loyola - Up. With Doyle and now Jones, Moser is stockpiling some talent. He'll underachieve with them, but they won't be stuck in 10th. If they are, they'll bring in another coach who knows what he's doing, like with ISU Red. Loyola says they're willing to spend now so the next hire could be very interesting.
Drake - Up. Giacoletti is bringing in better talent. Two highly touted B1G transfers arrive in a couple years, including a top 150 player.
SIU - Up. Not very impressed with what's been going on down there but Hinson overachieved last year and kept MSU at or near the top 50 for many years so he has earned the benefit of the doubt in my mind.
Wichita - Sideways. They'll stay at the top but I don't see any more undefeated seasons.
ISU Red - Sideways. Results are very mixed so far with Muller, in terms of recruiting and coaching (and retaining) talent. If they're not careful Dan Muller could turn into their Jim Les. A beloved former player who the fan base will make excuses for, enabling him to ride mediocrity out for a decade.
UNI - Sideways. They'll be loaded next year. Jesperson was a big get and they should take a step forward but Jacobson is no Altman or Marshall.
MSU - Sideways. I think they make a move next year if Marshall is healthy but I don't see why I should believe in Lusk long term.
ISU Blue - Down. I see them regressing to the mean.

It would put UE looking for a new HC

That's I think their big problem. I like some of the transfers, but other than Moser, I think Simmons has the hottest seat in the Valley. And if your head coach is on the hot seat, can you really say you're trending up?

Bears best days are ahead no doubt. I'd worry if I was a Sycs or Aces fan.
