Do you really want them to bring it on?

In the last year, WSU has yet to bring it against Evansville. They have to mentally get up for games like these. First game of the conference season, I hope it won't take much motivation this time around.

A big ol' dollar, huh? That sounds like a man or woman with confidence.

Aces could win by one in triple overtime, or lose by 25. On the road, in Wichita, I do not expect that they will win. As others have said, I hope they, at least, will make the Shockers sweat some so that they are not able to bring in their reserves with 10 minutes left to play. Don't know why the the Shocks played so poorly against the Aces last year. Maybe they think that all they have to do is just show up to beat them. It will surely be an interesting game to see just were both teams are early in the season.

I find it hard to believe or that WSU coaching staff is that bad, that in Feb. WSU is fighting for an at large bid and they can't get up for a game? I might buy that the first time around. But after UE beat them they ys play less then 10 days later and WSU couldn't get up again? That is sad.

I don't buy it. I think UE had as much to do with the win and a close game then WSU.

So the outcome and disparity of the basketball game all depends on what Evansville does and has nothing to do with what WSU does?

K, gotcha.

I don't think it's going to work out well for UE to get WSU as the first conference game.

WSU has played against a lot of very good scoring guards. I don't mean any disrespect to Colt - he's hitting over 50% of his 3's and that earns and deserves respect. I think WSU has played against some better shooting guards this year - and certainly some guards that are better at driving to the hoop.

Stutz has had problems against players his size who are quicker and more athletic than he is. UE doesn't have a player like that. Stutz may have another game like he did against Tulsa.

I don't see how UE is going to do well in the battle for boards.

Maybe it will be a close game, but I don't see that happening for more than 10 or 20 minutes of the game.

earlier someone was saying that colt ryan was a shooting guard...well honestly with UEs lack of size he has been playing a FOUR! About the game...if UE can slow down the game and run their motion offense they have a chance..if they play a pick up game like UNC, WSU will will by 30

Thanks for the clarification about Ryan's position. 53 of his 113 attempts from the field are 3-pt. shots and he takes about 1/3 of the total 3-point shots attempted by UE. I thought it would be a SG doing that.

It will be interesting to see if Ellis (6'9") can keep up with Ryan or if WSU has to put a quicker player on him. If neither Ellis or Blair is quick enough to tail Ryan, WSU might be forced to go with a smaller lineup, which would take WSU away from its game plan a bit.

How the game is going to be played just got a lot more interesting.

It's true that Ellis or Blair might have a hard time guarding Ryan......but, he will certainly also have a very tough time guarding either of those guys inside.

Shifting man, double team, weakside help are all part of UEs defense.

UE usually plays us close because they light up 3's especially in the first half, and WSU has to battle back to take control of the game. The Shockers will be ready this year, and especially after coming off 2 hard fought games for wins. As the Iron Man video says, 'This is ouurrrr house', and we will prove it Wednesday night.
