If things don't improve in this conference soon the 2018 tournament might be in Hutchinson, KS or something so it could be a moot point.

Let's be honest here- STL doesn't even support the MVC tournament. Any college hoops attention locally in that time frame is going to focused on the SEC and not the Valley. Move it to KC for a year and see what happens or the new DePaul arena at McCormick place would also be pretty cool.

Why should STL support the tourney when 90% of the Valley fanbases dont?

Why not the UC?

We could never fill it and the neighborhood isn't appealing.

Allstate Arena and/or the new DePaul Arena being built on the near south side would seem like better options for us.

The UC is a way nicer facility than Allstate (which seats 18,000 so it's not like it's a tiny place to play), and although the area around the UC isn't great, it's not like there's much around the Allstate Arena except the airport. And if the DePaul Arena does go through, there is probably some type of way for DePaul to block Loyola from hosting their conference tournament there.

:+1:

Silly to complain about STL not supporting the tourney when most of the teams in this conference buy the bare minimum tickets required.
