If the Shox don't win by 15 I'm going to be very disappointed.

If both teams play their A game, WSU wins handily. If Evansville plays A to A- and WSU plays a stupid C then it's a tossup.

There isn't a trick to beating Evansville. They are going to play tough and do everything they can to not give you anything easy, and try to keep it close and see what happens late.

Their's is a thin margin for error, especially on the road. 17-23 year old athletes RARELY have the frazzos to "stay the course" and keep fighting when things go against them. If Evansville can hang around and withstand at least 1, probably 2, WSU runs, then it will be another nailbiter.

If WSU comes out and matches the Aces effort all over the court, then it should result in a lopsided score that the game deserves. The Aces simply do not have the size, athletic ability, experience or depth to beat WSU this season, to say nothing of the support from the school and fans.

But then they didn't have any of those things last season either and look what happened, and that's why they play the games.

I think this is spot on. That's why I said earlier, Im not going to judge this game by winning or losing. I want to see us compete and have a chance to win. Naturally, I hope we win, but it's perfectly conceivable that we could play our best game of the year and not win.

This is common sense. When both teams play their A game the team with more talent and just flat out a better team will win 99% of the time. But both teams usually don't play their "A" game and usually it has to do with what the other team is doing. Sometimes, it falls on the shoulders of the team that is playing bad. They were overlooking their opponent. Or they were just sloppy. Or they were not prepared. Or just an off shooting night.

It's hard to "sneak up" on a team or get overlooked in the first conference game of the year.

Last year's games had all the makings of "trap" games for WSU and they were. After close wins against LSU and Tulsa, I don't think the Shox will be overlooking anyone or looking past any team.

If the line is WSU -9.5, take the Shox. This will be a double-digit win. I hope it's close enough to keep the fans interested and create some excitement in CKA. It could be blocked shots and thunder jams that keep the crowd involved, rather than the intensity of competition on the court.

I think the bubble will burst and the Shockers will finish 9th. Maybe 10th.

Too much fanfare and too little substance.

I think the real key will be the rebound differential. If WSU pulls down more offensive rebounds than UE get defensively, it'll be a long night for UE. UE front court will have a problem with WSUs. That being said, they are the same basic teams that played last year against each other and we all know what happen. Lets hope it isn't decide this year by the refs

Colt puts up 25 points Ned Cox ads another 15, and Kenny Harris will put up atleast 10. That is 50 points. If the Aces can find 20 points from the rest of the team they will have a chance in the end.

sixth ace, are you really insinuating that one of last year's games was decided by officiating? I hope you aren't serious, considering it was your team that choked away free throws in the final seconds to blow it.

The lame excuses need to exit, stage left.

With that scenario aces will be 10 points short...

Well it would probably give them a chance. I didn't say a win or a good chance at a win. I said a chance. It is not very likely the Aces will win, but I think this team is one of the more prepared teams to go into the valley because the road conditions they have already played in.
