If you really wanted a fun poll, or pole as they say in Springfield, you could just skip the bottom five. Those rankings don't elicit the replies and emotions as the Top 5, anyway. Who really cares if Evansville is pegged 8th or 10th, but the food fight that could erupt if Missouri State should be voted 2nd while Wichita State 3rd could be EPIC!

More on my previous post (or moron as they say in Springfield), they run 144 teams in 144 days because these are the teams expected to be near or on the bubble for NIT and NCAA bids. These are teams of interest and possibly "in play" at the end of the season. Nobody really cares if a team is expected to be ranked 289 or 310. But we all wait with baited breath to see if Creighton, Bradley or Illinois State makes the Top 144.

On another note, I believe I came up with a new shtick!
