Strength of Schedule tie breaker, of course!

What happens if Mock fouls out, or gets hurt, or DJ breaks a foot. The Aces season will depend how good Wiley, Stafford, and Mislav adapt to MVC play, and how much the sophs., Brown, Gibson, and Simmons have improved over the off season. There are just too many questions to pick the Aces much better than fifth at this point. Now, if everybody stays healthy, and the newcomers are good as we HOPE they are, it's possible the Aces could challenge for fourth, or maybe, even third, but that, of course, remains to be seen.
I would have to agree that if Marty loses more games than he wins this year, it would be hard to believe that he would be asked to coach another. And one more thing. His son was the best freshman we had last year, and showed the most progress during the season. Marty wasn't the most imposing player on the court when he played, but did the little things that made him a great player. Blake is the same kind of player, and will play an important roll on this years team.
If Wiley and Stafford can step in and start and two starters from last year can come off the bench, UE really does have the look of a contender. The questions all revolve around coaching.

This is exactly my feelings except I even like some of their role players. They have talent. What they don't have is a good coach and a system of play that actually equate to success. Screens and jump shots can only get you so far. If you don't believe me then please point out a time that Marty's system has led to any true success in the Valley. He's been mediocre to the conference doormat for years. You can't really believe he's going to make any kind of turnaround without making big adjustments to his system. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I'd be looking at an Indiana St, Southern, MSU or Illinois St to piece everything together and finish in the top half before I gamble on Screen-and-Chuck University. I just don't think it's a recipe for meaningful and consistent success at the Division I level

I guess you never heard of Bobby Knight. If you've got the players who can shoot 50%, and guys that can rebound, and play defense you can win at any level no matter what offense they run.The Aces problems aren't from the offense they run, their problems are they don't have enough talented players.
