Drake picks up another big Euro

6'10" or 6'11" (I've seen both) from Poland

Dominik Olejniczack 6'11'' C 1996.....For somebody that has been playing basketball for just 3 years the Polish center has made some outstanding progress. Has a really nice touch offensively around the rim, almost like a little floater. Doesn't really have moves yet, but can finish on drop off and has been very effective on P&R. Defensively it is where it gets interesting, he has a really good body, has timing for blocks and good lateral movements to show on P&R. He has been great from Poland in protecting the rim and grabbing rebounds. Suffers a lot when he plays against more athletic players. Maybe is not too athletic, but there is a lot of upside to work with.

I liked the short blurb the Des Moines Register had for him. They were able to communicate with him via text and he seemed just interested/excited for the education portion of his commitment and college career as he was about basketball. That's always good to see, someone who has their priorities straight and is well prepared for what they want to do when the Laker and Heat scouts don't come calling
[Insert snappy comeback]

Impressive size and highlights! If the two big frosh fill out and develop, Drake is going to be very tough to beat.

Drake might have the biggest team in the MVC for 2015-16. As of now, there will be 8 players 6'8" or taller, including 4 who are 6'10" or taller, if the heights listed on Drake's website are accurate.

It would appear the Valley is getting a lot bigger with a heavy influx of Euro big men. Hopefully the competition gets a lot better and is reflected in the nonconference records.
