Bears are up 1 with 30 seconds to go. UNI ball. They work about 20 seconds off the clock and Moran hits a ridiculous 3 on the right side of the key with 10 seconds to go. Inbound the ball with Leonard bringing it up. Drives to the right side of the key and passes to Weems at the top, about 25-26 feet from the basket. Pump fakes and I think he hits the shot with 2 defenders near him and hits it with 2.5 seconds left.

Weems actually got the ball deep left wing, about 25 or 26 feet from the basket. Puts in on the floor and takes a couple of steps toward the top of the key, plants, and puts up an off balance 21 footer with two defenders within reach. Ball went in with 2.5 to play...

UNI got a decent look as time expired, but Anthony James missed it off the side of the rim.

I thought MSU's bucket before the final one was actually a better basket, when Creekmore had the ball on the right side about 6-8 feet out, with 2 defenders all over him, and he banks the ball in the basket.

UNI thought they had it at the end till Weems stroked it in. Good win for MSU.

They rebounded a lot better than UNI during the game, and it made the difference. The game was kind of a slow start, with neither team doing very much till midway through the first half. UNI, though, did drive the ball to the basket quite a bit on MSU.

All the credit to MSU on this one. UNI just doesn't lose games like this very often, and I would have bet you anything that we would have finished this one off as well. MSU just made two huge plays down the stretch with Creekmore's 3 point play and the game winner for Weems. Teams just haven't come in and made plays like that at UNI for quite some time.

Anthony James had a great look at the buzzer for the win, and I thought that was gonna go down as well.

Rebounding and missed FTs cost UNI the game.

Huge win for Missouri State.

Big win for Bears, esp considering Panthers made a 60+' trey to end first half (and two treys right before that), plus the Moran trey with 9 tics left in reg. Would've been easy to say, "The gods are against us," at that point. Bears weren't exactly lights out at the free throw line, the few that they shot. This one, hopefully, is a turning of the corner of walking the talk of mental toughness that Zo has preached since he arrived.

This is a great win it was tough for the Bears to beat UNI but even tougher to overcome some horrible officiating.

Really? I thought they did a fairly good job. I was a difficult game to officiate.
