Good to see UE bounce back with the W. Mock had 11 shots. UE won. Not a coincidence.

Maybe Marty is going to change things up this year and actually use Mock to his full capability.

We'll see. This was his first game with more than 10 FGAs. Only had 2 yesterday, and shockingly they lost. People sure love Balentine, but Mock seriously has a FG% TWICE!!!! as high as Balentine's. The fact that they don't try to play through him is baffling to me. Mock could run absolutely rampant through the Valley, including having favorable matchups against both WSU and UNI.

The Aces would be a great inside out team. With the 4 guard line-up Marty uses, it's gotta be tough to pack it in on the big fella. Force the collapse, and THEN drop the bombs from the outside. Too bad Evansville doesn't have an athletic 6-7 PF to compliment Mock in the front court.

BTW, from the boxscore (haven't seen a game) it looks like the two sophomore PGs are having a great start to their season.

Uni has held northwestern without a point since the 1008 mark

Uni has a 20-6 pip lead

Forcing northwestern to scramble on offense and throw up crazy shots.

Starting from a lower floor and body type though.

He looks like he will be a very good one by the end of his career.

31-20 at the half. Really enjoying watching the Panthers execute. They have good ball movement. Looks like all the players understand their role. Lohaus hasn't disappointed. He and Jesperson are players that effect winning whether they are scoring or not. Koch didn't look bad either.

I don't understand why Mitcell starts. Washpun is certainly getting the majority of the minutes though.

McIntosh from Northwestern had 10 points in the first 6.5 minutes of the game. Northwestern had 20 the entire first half and none from McIntosh.

Looks like the New Year is going to get off to a roaring start. UNI, and the Aces, start Valley play against each other on New Years Day. What a game that is going to be. Team that makes the fewest mistakes will probably come out on top, and establish itself as the main threat to WSU.
