54-37 with 6:35 left.

Tuttle is more than dominating this game, including a massive fast break posterization of a NW guy for an and 1.

7-11 from the field, 19 points

56-37 at the under 4 media (3:35)

UNI holding NW to another 7+ minute scoring drought

Right out of the media UNI scores to make it a 21 point lead

Gotta say that I'm 100% okay with eating crow about Evansville if they keep this up. I'll root for anyone who can take care of business in the non-con. And sorry ISUb fans but I'm glad we won't have to face McIntosh more than once. That kid is good, even though he disappeared after those quick 10 pts. Good to see UNI execute well again. Beating back to back ACC and B1G opponents is no easy task but those were not strong teams at this point in the season. I'm interested in seeing how we do against Richmond on sunday. That should provide us with a good challenge like SFA did.
[Insert snappy comeback]

UNI is doing about what I expected of them. I thought UNI was probably a top-40 team, but that was going to be hard to demonstrate if they had to rely on winning Valley games. UNI doesn't have much margin for error in OOC.

UE is showing that Marty might be able to play a game that isn't totally centered on one player. Brzoja has been getting consistently decent offensive numbers. Some other non-starters are giving significant offensive production.

One of the reasons I predicted UE fairly low in the pre-season polls was because I felt Marty would insist on running his offense totally through Balentine. Marty seems to be showing that he has some other options in his game. UE seems to have a lot of offensive options. That makes them more dangerous than they appeared before the season started.

I'll wait and see with Evansville. Let's remember they started 5-0 last year and were going to challenge for the league title. Then they played a real team and the wheels came off. I'm not saying that the same thing is going to happen, I'm just saying I'll wait and see. And unfortunately I might have to wait a while because of the strength (or lack thereof) of the schedule Marty put together.

The Aces have 2 or 3 nice opponents coming up on the schedule including Belmont and Murry State. The Aces need to push through the rest of jus non-con and finish with no more than 2 losses entering Valley play. After that, UE is going to need some help from the Valley to be bubble worthy including a few wins against strong WSU and UNI teams and clear separation between the top three and the rest of the league. Talent is there, but the schedule is not.
