They don't quire look early-era-Kanaskie bad, but I don't know that they look significantly better either.

I expect at least 5-6 wins this year (already beat IUPUI; hopefully they beat N Dakota, Jackson St, and Simpson at home; and at least 1-2 wins in MVC play). That better than the 2 and 3 win seasons of the darkest Kanaskie days, but hoo boy.

Drake will be better next year when the transfers are eligible and the youngsters are another year older, but realistically there's nowhere to go but up right now.

I still think Gia is on the right track. The track is just much longer than I thought it would be.

I pretty much agree with Mecha.....I expect this team to get better as the season goes on, with four freshmen playing significant minutes. Right now, the biggest problem is turnovers....a lot of which are the result of guys still getting used to playing together.

The Bulldogs would have to improve a lot really fast to get 5-6 wins this year. They are as bad a team as I have ever seen at Drake. We have a bunch of guards who would be fine if they had a front line to play with, but they don't. Reminds me of the Cubs of the past few years, and I guess it is the same philosophy. Gotta give the coach a break as he was left absolutely nothing by Phelps. Hopefully the transfers next year will pan out and the Bulldogs will be at least competent.
