Over-Under - UNI 3's Made @ UE

After 14 & 17 in the two games last year, and Coppin St. hitting 12 Sunday against the ACES, I don't have much hope that the 3 will be defended.

It seems like Marty's best defense against the 3 is the missed shot.

I put the O-U at 14. What say all of you?

Still optimistic that the ACES have a chance.

UNI is only shooting 17 per game...which is way down from 24 last year. Been over 20 every year since the S16 team and they shot 18.

Actually kind of interesting to see that the best UNI years have the lower 3 point attempts but higher %. Much better looks and not forcing as many?

Now, UNI is shooting about 38% from deep (7 per game) and in the last 4 is about 43%. Taking Deon Mitchell (3-16) and Marvin Singleton (0-4) out of it...and they've both stopped shooting 3s for the most part (Deon took 12 of his 16 in the first 5 games and just 2 in the last 4 games) UNI is at about 42% on the season

I guess if UE is willing to let Wes Washpun (73%), Nate Buss (42%) Paul Jesperson (42%) Matt Bohannon (39%) and Wyatt Lohaus (38%) shoot threes then they deserve to have a ton of 3's dropped on them.

One of the big reasons UNI has been so successful this season is the quality of shots they are taking. Not settling for the 3 necessarily, but taking really good 3s (reflective in the %s of the guys you mentioned).

It's the biggest reason for WSU looking not as good as they have lately. Settling for jump shots instead of getting the best shot they can.

I thought UNI was the best team in the conference a couple of weeks ago. I love wathing WSU play but they they just don't have the inside out game that UNI has right now. To me thats the biggest difference in the three point percantages of the two teams right now.

WSU has to improve on the interior for the team to reach the heights that the fans expect.
