Wow. After the first half, didn't think anyway would UNI would lose this game. Evansville out rebounded UNI big time and beat them from the FT line as they couldn't hit the broadside of the barn (33% from field and 9% from 3).

To bad for UNI and the Valley. Valley needs to have as many ranked teams as possible.

Well, Evansville gonna Evansville. An overtime loss to VCU dropped us a half dozen spots in the polls. I shutter at the thought of how far we'll plummet after losing to a team most voters haven't even heard of.

I get that EU loves playing the roll of spoiler and it's often the highlight of their entire season, but do EU fans realize how damaging they've been to the MVC the past five years?

In reality it was a minor upset at best. N.I.U was only a 3 point favorite. This Evansvlle team, against an admittedly weak non-con, did a decent job and came in with 10 wins. Don't blow 16 point leads. Don't go for 2 down 3 with 2 seconds left. Evansville didn't play spoiler. N.I.U just got beat, admit it.

Kyle, I can tell you with all honesty, Evansville fans don't give a rip how "damaging" we have been the last five years, we are just glad we were better than your team tonight.
And it's UE, not EU. You are showing your ignorance.

The problem with this years Evansville isn't the same as previous years. This year Marty kinda screwed it up with a weak non-con. Had they scheduled well and went 8-4 instead of 10-2, it would have been much better. The Aces might be a contender in the MVC this year, but Marty is really guiding this team for 2015-16. They will again bring back the entire starting line-up, but they will all be upper-classman and have a deep bench.
