That's something a lot of WSU fans are wondering about. The general consensus is that it's too early in the season to compare the teams.
The S16 team had an incredibly fortunate draw in the NCAA's. It's not often a team gets two overrated teams in a row in the Dance. The S16 team played in a conference that was rated #5 after the tourney. This year's WSU team doesn't have that opportunity, so if they make the dance, they're not as likely to get as nce a seed as the S16 team.
It's going to be very difficult to ever compare that team to any other team. The S16 team had incredible problems with front court depth, but as long as the starters were able to go 32 or so minutes, that wasn't a big factor.
