Jan. 13th
UNI @ Bradley (Road wins are rarely easy in the Valley of Death unless you have the talent and depth like UNI. Bradley is improved with Sutherland but I suspect they will offer little resistance to the #21 Panthers)
Jan. 14th
6:05pm Illinois State @ Indiana State (Not the same Redbird team the Trees sneaked past in Normal earlier. These Birds have the talent and depth to fulfill their coach's preseason prognostication. I thought the Trees were under-rated to start the season but it's taken awhile to get going. Still, anything other than another Redbird win is tough to imagine. I can't see anything but looking ahead to that titanic matchup against the Panthers on the 25th that could possibly slow ISU at this point.)
7pm SIU @ Wichita State (Could the streak end tonight? Everyone roots for their team and whomever is playing WSU. The Shocks have been more than lucky during this streak but the prevailing winds signal a loss much sooner than later. It's not the same Shocker team of last season and everyone knows it and can't wait to knock the Shocks off their perilous perch. SIU has been tough against Gregg and Barry always seems to do great work in Wichita. WSU may win, but I won't be surprised if it's a lot closer than most think.)
7pm Drake @ Loyola (Ray knows talent when he sees it and Loyola has it. I think the big kid will give Drake a double double but it won't be enough on the road. Drake will be good soon, but the story this year are the Ramblers. Loyola wins)
7:05pm Evansville @ Missouri State (Big matchup between Simmons and Lusk. Tough to win in the JQH but Evansville has proven themselves on the road this year. It's going to be a battle 1-5 I think at the top and the Aces will be there right with the others. This could go either way but I'm picking the Aces here. MSU's day will come, probably when they exact revenge on the Shocks next week)
