If the Panthers get up 2-0 to start the game, Jacobson might be content to just hold them and try to make that the final score.

What's the scoop on Jake this season? I really liked this kid's game last year but he seems to be off to a slower start than expected.

Are my expectations too high, is it just inconsistency, or is there something else going on? I expected Jake to be one of the top 10 players in the league. It's still early, but it seems not so much so far.

Jake is only a sophomore yet. He has a lot of growing yet to do with his game.

And his role this year is much much different than what he was asked to do last year. Being asked to be a starter, a post player (he has never really been a post player), and a guy that UNI relies on to put up points and get rebounds every game is much different than coming off of the bench and being a background player that might hit a 3 or take a charge in the 10-15 minutes that he played.

He really has to work of developing some post offense, and work on taking people off the dribble. Right now, he is much too content with just launching 3's. Adam was really great at driving the basketball, and getting to the line playing in the post, while his outside game really came on later in his career. Jake is pretty much the opposite of that.
