a very good read, thank you for sharing. I am sorry for all involved and impacted by the tragedy. May these young men rest in peace and may their loved ones find peace.

I was born in 83 and growing up I'd listen to road games and read the saved newspapers my mom kept from the days after. Fortunately only a few universities can relate to such a tragic event. I can't imagine the grief and heartache something on that scale would cause and I never want to.

The image of The Night It Rained Tears display at the old Roberts Stadium is forever etched into my mind. A somber place to visit before the games.

I've read about the Wichita State football team, finding out about it many years after I learned at a young age about the loss here in Evansville. I'm sure many WSU fans can remember that day and you can't help but feel for anyone who has to deal with that loss, even if it's not on the truly devastating personal level of knowing anyone aboard.
