Yes and yes. Sounds like some discomfort with the back. Hard to tell how big of a deal it was/is, but today was a good day to develop the bench and let Carter rest.

Cotton's dunk makes #3 on SC Top Ten. I think that's his 3rd for 4th appearance in the Top Ten on the year and I'm not sure how many in his career.

Trevor Berkely's dunk didn't break through however.

I find this comment a tad asinine. 2 free throws from an 84%er would have sealed it. Congrats on the W. Next Saturday should be a great one.

If you don't see how this game was lost well before that set of free throws them you might have a lower basketball IQ than Muller.

12 point lead and all of the momentum in the world. UNI goes zone at that point and the game was over. Just a matter how how quickly it swung back to UNI for good. Not only that, Morgan picked up his 4th foul with 5 plus min left in the game and there was no effort made to attack him in anyway

It was clear Muller wasn't going to coach his team to a W. If ISU were to win that it would have been inspite of Muller. Had Muller made any adjustments at all for a zone offense they win.

22 more shots taken, more points off turnovers, more rebounds and yet less FG made and less points scored.

A zone offense that consisted entirely of 4 people standing still and an occasional slow pass from the point to the wing and right back to the point.

Again, the score might not have showed it until late but that game was lost way before that Buss 3 for anyone who knows basketball

Do we want to talk about IQ? Check the rankings. The U.S News and World Report might beg to differ.

Is this a basketball discussion board or an academic discussion board?

Congrats though.

I mean you wanted to talk about the IQ of the fan bases, so I just thought I'd nip that in the bud.

He looked like a begging douche at the end of the game too. Typical.

Sorry Redbird fans. Karma hates you.

Right cuz Muller was the one who missed open 3s and layups and free throws that would've won the game.

It's gotta fall on Muller, doesn't it? After all, he's the one who thought this Redbird team was the best in the Valley (which also means Top 15 in the country).

Coaches get too much of the blame and not enough credit IMO. Players have to make the plays to win. We are 3 plays away from being 7-1 in the valley. Obviously we didn't make that one more play we needed to in 3 of those losses in the last 6-7 seconds in those 3 games. If we make those plays we r right up there in standings with Wichita. 4-4 is what it is tho no matter how small the margin in those games. Someone said it pretty good on our board, "we are really good at almost winning"

This was a classic example of the Panthers throwing the Redbirds under the Buss.

Just curious - what are the redbird fans yelling about Baker? If it's regarding flopping then your are right. I've seen a lot of his games and I don't think I've ever seen him flop.

Baker takes a lot of head shots. Last year they called them flagrant. This year they are calling them incidental contact. I wouldn't call it flopping, but some Redbird fans do.

Using university rankings to argue IQ is phenomenally weak.

And I say that while holding two diplomas from universities ranked far higher than any Valley school, so obviously I must be right ;)

Oh you did, ur audiologist, MBA'ers, and Nurses are all slightly slower than WSU's. Looks like u have some real good high school counslers though. Couldn't tell how the eng departments stacked up. Congrats though u guys are certainly the northwestern of normal, very impressive.

What this has to do with ur basketball team I am still unsure.

I can understand a homer perspective, but to say that Baker has never flopped in his life? That's a bit too much. Bohannon also had a couple of Baker-esque flop attempts himself today, only one of which was called, fortunately. Knight was pushed on the "flop" in question. Was it embellished a little bit? Sure. But it was a foul either way. UNI got away with some chippy play inside all day. I do agree on the last second play though. If he makes an honest attempt at a layup there, he may have gotten a call or even made the basket.

Bottom line is if we make our free throws we win that game. The 5 minute stretch (or so) without a basket seemed like an eternity and it was abundantly evident that they had not practiced against a 3-2 zone. These kind of losses have become all too familiar this year. The VCU loss at home felt similar. Had the game under control, only to blow it in the last 5. We need to develop that killer instinct to finish off these games. I think we've proven we can compete with pretty much anyone, it's just a matter of putting it together for 40 minutes.

And I can understand a ridiculously biased perspective from a fanbase with a hardon against WSU, but there are eight other teams in the Valley, and I have never seen even one other Valley fan claim that Baker flops.

It just makes your fanbase look like jealous little girls.
