Good game by UNI. They schooled WSU today and looked like the better team.

First loss for WSU by more than 13 since December 4, 2010, when WSU lost by 14 @San Diego State (who went on to the Sweet 16 that year, losing to the eventual champions).

Worst loss overall since January 16, 2008, when WSU lost by 21 @Illinois State.

UNI fans should be phenomenally proud of this team. Opportunity to make a deep run in the tournament.

Unfortunately, I don't think WSU has that same opportunity. Our bench is too young and our post-play is too suspect on defense. It'll take some favorable matchups in the tournament to make a run, IMO.

Probably but I'd be surprised if they moved UNI up that much. I'm more worried about how much the Shox will be penalized. A big win for the Panthers feels great at the moment but I doubt our "reward" out-weighs Wichita's "penalty" in any sense of the word. It does help that the Shox have built up plenty of credibility over the past few seasons.

Should have been a closer game. IMO the Shox just missed a lot of open jumpers they normally make.

Tuttle and Washpun looked like they could score at will. I know it's a different level but Tuttle's post moves remind me of Kevin McHale. Just outstanding post moves. I actually thought Shaq played him ( Tuttle) a little better than Carter did.

I do think these teams are really evenly matched. I expect the Shox will be ready for them in Wichita.

Huge win for the Panthers, but also a moment to reflect on what WSU has accomplished.

I would think so.

Perhaps not.
I was looking over the polling.
Many schools, losing to other schools also ranked didn't move ahead of them afterwards
IU didn't move past Maryland
Neither did Georgetown over 'Nova.
Guess, it'll all might depend on name recognition, to many of the voting members?

Can't remember for sure, but I don't think Utah jumped past the Shocks immediately after they beat WSU in December. It took a few more weeks.

Good win Panthers. A total dismantling.

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the year shakes out for both teams.

Morris played pretty darn well for a freshman. While Tuttle had his way with him and others for a good portion of the game, Shaq made some nice plays against him. Definitely the best post D of anyone in black and gold tonight. Wessel made some plays too but that was more when he was providing help. Seth and Wes were just playing out of their minds. Having a great crowd can do big things for any team. Hopefully this type of win gets even more people interested in whats going on in the McLeod Center. This team deserves a lot more than what they've received prior to tonight
