Not sure where you learned that "reputation". Is it just because many of the students live off campus and/or commute? Saying WSU is a "glorified community college" is ridiculous. They have one of the finest aeronautical engineering programs around and an outstanding and noted business school. Their Fine Arts department is one of the finest in the country as well---many HIGHLY respected alumni in that department alone. It is not the hardest university to be accepted into---but neither are SEVERAL of the Valley schools.

I believe admissions requirements are set by the Kansas Board of Regents. I took a quick look and it looks like KU has the same requirements as WSU.

For giggles and grins, I put the Kansas Regents requirements (ACT of 21, top third of class [33 out of 100], 2.0 GPA, and 16 credits) into the Iowa Board of Regents calculator. It came up with an unofficial RAI score of 229, pretty close to the 245 UNI lists for guaranteed admission.

I keep reading that teams just had a cold shooting night against UNI and UNI shot lots out...That seems to be a common theme. Thought I'd check the stats to see if that held up.

Turns out that after 10 conference games it's true teams do tend to have their worst offense game of the season...seems to be every team though. Maybe some credit should start being given to UNI's defense
