Y'all leave Fever alone. He is practically harmless.

I have only one comment about the game - the Cats kicked the sh!t out of the Shockers.

Well, one more comment. Flops or no flops, the outcome would have been the same - an old fashioned @ss kicking.

UNI v. INS: No television? Say it ain't so, Joe.

Are you talking about "Look at me" Washpun?

A UNI guy does it and it's Wes "Look at me" Washpun

WSU guy does it and it's swagger/confidence

UNI was ripped for years for having slow, white, nonathletic farm boys and now that we have a team that has athleticism it's "LOOK AT ME" type players.

I dunno, you can be athletic without having to jaw like a 9 year old.

I've seen a lot of good basketball from WSU the last few years and I really have a hard time remembering a lot of jawing going on after making some good plays. Business as usual. But then again, WSU has been on some petty big stages so I imagine they've gotten used to making a lot of good plays.

UNI was playing in the biggest game in their program's history so I do understand the extra pizazz coming out of some players' mouths. Those players haven't had moments like that.

I guess it just comes down to acting like you've been there before. Some players have been there, some haven't.

I think it's universally understood by everyone that Kansas v. UNI is the biggest in program history.

What was up for debate is whether or not Saturday's game was the biggest in McLeod Center history (I think it probably was). And some would even go as far as to say biggest home game ever. I think the Iowa game with 22K people is probably at the top of that list. We also beat the Hawks one year when they were a top 10 team. The bracketbuster game in the Dome against a ranked Bucknell team was one of the best I can remember. We also won the Mid-Con tournament on our home floor in double-overtime for our first NCAA tournament bid ever.

unipanther99 wrote:I guess we have different definitions of a "flop." To me, a "flop" is when you draw an unwarranted offensive foul or when you fall down without any contact at all. You said in your post there was contact, so it'd not the latter, and Morgan was called for a blocking foul on that play, so it doesn't qualify in my book. But that's just me.

If you overreact to contact with the intention of increasing the likelihood of drawing a foul, that's flopping, IMO.

The most ridiculous cases don't involve any contact at all, and those are the most blatantly laughable ones. But by no means is that a requirement. It's obvious when the physical reaction is delayed or not proportional to the amount of contact.
