I'm not sure if I'd call them mentally weak outside of Reggie continuing to do dumb fouls. No matter the score they are always fighting and making a comeback even when they aren't playing well like today. Maybe just inconsistent is more the word?

BU beats UE as UE gives up 17 point lead in 2nd half at home. Blake Simmons plays almost entire 2nd half while shooting 0-5 down the stretch, zero rebounds for the game and his typical poor defense. Blake is a good kid but should not be playing significant minutes on a decent D-1 team. Also don't recall UE calling a time out during BU's run. As usual Marty on his post game show throws the players under the bus for not following his game plan and playing hard. Not one mention of taking some responsibility for the loss.

and SIU takes out Illinois State, did not see that coming.

A very good chance for the Sycamores to get a lock on 3rd "IF" they can beat Loyola today. We'll see?

Nate Wells, Bradley's 7-1 4th string center, hit two three-pointers in the second half at Evansville. The first two he has ever taken in a game.

Bradley wen't box and one on Balentine and Evansville had no idea what to do. Bradley then milked every possession down to the end and let Sutherland create. This was a shocking result.

May or may not be true but I think today, everything is clicking for SIU. On offense and defense. They have a lot of guys just playing real well. Gotta give them credit so far.

This isn't a "I just noticed this today" deal.

I've noticed almost every time I've watched them I've come away with the sane two thoughts: 1. Poorly coached and 2. Extremely mentally weak.

I didn't know if that was just me though

I wouldn't say mentally weak. The team has battle back from significant deficits on many occasions this year. Today, an 18 point first half deficit and then 14 in the second half. They always find a way back into the game. Yes, they fell short. But I wouldn't call them mentally weak
