Paul Lusk

I have seen rumblings on here about MSU firing Paul Lusk. I understand the frustration. But I looked at his official MSU bio today. It is unique for sure. Look at the second paragraph. I have read thousands of these bios over the years. I have never seen someone's job status posted so blatently in a bio. This was obviously done for a reason on the request of either Lusk or the higherups right? Can MSU eat that much money?

The paragraph mentioned:

Lusk, whose recent, guaranteed, five-year contract extension will run through March 31, 2019, led the Bears to the first 20-win season and postseason appearance of his tenure a year ago and returns four starters from that squad for the current campaign.

If MSU fires Lusk and UE fires Marty, I'd be very happy with his hire at UE. And MSU would be paying his Salary through 2019
