UNI 12 and WSU 13 in Coaches Poll

Wow. There's a decent possibility that UNI/WSU rematch @Wichita could be a battle of top ten teams.

That would be huge.

I'd love it but we'll need a lot of help from the Top 10 teams to lose a couple and the teams behind us to not tackle any high ranked teams. Beating Missouri St and such won't earn us Top 10 spots on their own. I have a feeling 11-12 is about as high as the Panthers will creep until the regular season is over. Basically it's win out or bust for the Top 10 scenario to happen IMO
[Insert snappy comeback]

Much as I admire Gonzaga and wish them well, I can't understand how they are getting any first place votes in the one poll after having one loss and UK being still undefeated (and dominant).

And in my mind's wild ramblings over the weekend, it occurred that there is a small chance that the Valley could be a three bid league. Shockers and Panthers are in, of course. But, what if they both stumble in the tournament?--it'd be interesting to see who that 3rd team would be.

Boy, ESPN's plan is going to backfire - they held several games back on that day to give themselves an option. They're going to have to demote 2 of the following games:

BYU at 29-1 Gonzaga
Arizona at Utah for the Pac-12 title
Northern Iowa at Wichita St for the MVC title

so who wants to bet they'll choose Syracuse at Duke instead ;)

Arizona and Utah will likely both be top 10.

Absolutely a possibility for three bids this year. It will be difficult for teams to knock off both WSU and UNI though. I'd feel better if UE or ISU was a top 50 RPI.

Both teams are good, but neither team is one of the best 10 teams in the country. It would be nice to have the game be a winner take all matchup between 2 top 15 teams (not sure either are even amongst the 15 best teams, but certainly UNI deserves the ranking). I'd bet money UNI makes it to Wichita 16-1 in conference. Can WSU is the question.

Not sure about UNI the game Wednesday worries me the most. ISUr coming to the McLeod. They gave us all we could handle at RBA. I would like to think we would be better at home, but that is a talented team that is looking for payback and they are getting increasingly more healthy. Plus a game at Loyola when they could be healthy again as well. And Evansville has already shown they can beat us. Going to be a tough road, but hopefully both teams come in 16-1 and make it for everything. Or else hopefully WSU comes in at 14-3, and we already have the 1 seed locked up ;)

Birds have won a total of 0 times at the McLeod. Haha. I'm not confident AT ALL. Just hoping we don't get blown out of the water
