The points are big. The blocks, while elite, are almost expected since that's what he does. The boards are a bit weak.

Offensive game has improved greatly. Defensively, just needs to learn not to foul!
When the team defensive strategy is to funnel everyone to a shot blocker, and have that shot blocker try to block every incoming shot, said shot blocking player is going to pick up a lot of fouls. His fouling might actually be helped more by his perimeter defenders learning to keep their man in front of them more often.

Argee that the rebound number is low, but we're a good rebounding team as a whole; very balanced.
Akoon-Purcell 5.7
Lynch 5.5
Hawkins 5.2
McIntosh 4.4
Knight 3.3
Jones 3.1
Teddy has played well since coming back from injury.

The guards are not the problem. Reggie just needs to learn to move his feet more and play for position rather than going for the big block every time. He played exponentially better in this regard after he got his 4th foul in Carbondale.

No. Yes.
I am not placing blame on any players. I believe it is what they are being taught. It is a high-risk/high-reward system, one that plays to the strengths of athleticism and fitness you mention. Muller is playing to his team's strengths, utilizing both the quickness of the guards and the shot-blocking of his big.
Over the past couple of years Bradley had a couple of guards that continually led the league in steals, but their defense was a sieve. Why? Gambling. They got steals, but they also gave up blow-bys when they gambled. Without good defensive big men behind them, it led to terrible defensive metrics for the entire team. In this case, ISUr doesn't have terrible defensive metrics, because they have a tremendous shot-blocker playing goalie. But they do have a center that is often in foul trouble.
But, don't take my word for it. Feel free to continue throwing your hands up as Reggie mysteriously racks up the fouls.

He simply does not have good footwork and he is the one that gambles on big time blocks. I don't think it's a product of the system. Our guards normally do a good job of keeping their man in front of them. If you watch Reggie, he sometimes gets drawn almost out to the three point line just trying to chase down a block. Knowing the guy somewhat personally (friends of friends), he is a bit cocky and strikes me as the kind of guy who is very concerned with his stats and flashy plays. That's not to say he's a bad teammate, but I don't think he realizes that he hurts his team chasing down those big time blocks.
