Shox juniors and seniors> Redbirds freshman and sophomores
Marshall (17 yr head coach) > Muller (3rd year head coach)
Close game throughout but never felt like shox would lose

Buzzer to buzzer lead though it was within 2 several times.

The Birds are talented and young but should be contenders in a year or two as they become more experienced. Thankful for a Valley road win.

WSU v ISUr. Ugly game. Tough play by both teams. Not sure what else to make of it besides that. WSU got the W they needed to keep pursuing their goals, ISUr still trying to turn the corner.

Yup. Lot of talent overall with Illinois State. Just going to take a bit longer for it all to come together with a young team and a young coach.

It is not athleticism or skills, which causes the Red Birds to lose.

"Bench of the Day" award has to go to Evansville @ SIU - 16/21 FG's...

Yesterday is pure WANT from WSU that caused it. They wanted the rebounds more and that rebounding advantage and second chance points win them the game.

Redbirds didn't play bad. You can just tell what experience and maturity can do. Whenever WSU wants to take it to another level, they can and when they do they just rely on their experience and know they're going to pull out a tight one on the road. They didn't have their "A" game and I think ISU had some to do with that, but they never looked rattled and just continued to battle out the win.

Side note - glad to see a good hard fought game without extra crap to it. Makes it more fun to watch when it's like that. Hoping that trend continues.

It would not surprise me in the slightest if Illinois State won the MVC tourney this year.

If I was one of the top two teams I definately wouldn't want to play them.

If ISU-r would win the tourney would the committee take all three teams? You would think so.
