February 11th games

We played really really well yesterday. Tuttle is a beast right now. It is tough to guard him when he makes 3s like he is right now. And when we can surround him with shooters it just makes it that much tougher. There is tons of talent on that ISUr team. They just don't have the cohesion they need. They also have their coach putting them in terrible spots. His press that he tried to run was just absolutely terrible. They are young though so I guess we will have to see what he can do when they mature.

One thing I did notice in the game last night. Tuttle gets a bunch of crap on here about his offensive fouls that don't get called. Well Reggie Lynch was WAY worse than Tuttle ever is. I will be the first to admit he gets away with the elbow chicken wing quite often. Lynch did it so many times last night. He also just drops his shoulder into the defender too. Maybe that was unusual last night, but I really think if you watch a lot of big men they all do these things.

Most of Reggie's moves involve the chicken wing or an elbow to defenders chest as he's going around them I'm surprised he doesn't get called for it but If they don't call it might as well keep doin it if it's working

I still can't figure out what Muller was so pissed about to get T'd up. There was a no call that if anything should have been a charge against ISU and he's standing outside the huddle staring down Paul Janssen.

I've heard of him more technicals than a coach normally does, kind of like Marshall's first year. I kind of wonder if sometimes it is something a coach does trying to motivate his players.

I don't disagree there. If they don't call it keep doing it. I was just saying that on here Tuttle gets a lot of crap for those moves, and actually gets called a dirty player. I was just pointing out that I think most big men do it. It doesn't get called so it keeps happening.

Tuttle is far from a dirty player. I couldn't think of one player in the valley that deserves the title of a dirty player for that matter

Some play far more aggressive than others, but I have yet to see a player this year that gives the reaction "Damn, that guy just plays dirty"

People often confuse playing hard and aggressive as dirty.

Just as people confuse playing with emotion as being douchey, show boating , etc... Like we saw people saying about Wes Washpun and Seth Tuttle because they dared to show emotion in the game against WSU....which is the same emotion they show in every game, practice, work out, etc...

Tuttle gets more crap about it than Lynch because Tuttle is far more effective and high-profile. I bet Lynch will start getting far more crap on here about it the next two years as he becomes a top-of-the-Valley player.
