As I was watching the game, I was hating the refereeing, without knowing who was doing it.

So, this game now makes sense to me

Going to be sad to see Geno go. He's a good guy, it just didn't work out.

His gameplan today was excellent, but UNI is just that good and Geno doesn't quite have the horses.

If he had it to do over, my guess is he would have flushed the Jim Les guys sooner and gotten his guys in there earlier. Can't be depending on your predecessor's guys well into year 3.

Geno is getting a lot of praise for the junk defense today but if UNI shoots it even normal (they were wide open) the game is a blowout in the first few minutes. The gameplan worked for a half but not because it was a great plan.

Exactly this. If we shoot half of what we normally do this game is a blowout in the first half. The craziest part of the game plan was to try and slow down a team that normally doesn't play the fastest. Also he was still in milk the clock offense when they were down by 14 with 9 minutes to go. He didn't adjust at. I mean at a certain point you have to pick up your pace when you are down by a bunch. It is almost like he has given up.

The Panthers made some nice adjustments in the 2nd half to combat the junk defense. Mostly to pick up the pressure on the defensive end in order to get some turnovers and speed up our pace a little bit. Wouldn't even have needed to do that had we just shot decent. 3rd time on the year holding a team to 39 and 2nd straight game doing it. Of course Geno looked like he had hoped to win in the lowest scoring game ever.

Good God, could you imagine Steed working the WSU/UNI game with College Gameday in town?

:Bam:

Zelton Steed, Hal Lusk, and Gene Grimshaw.

Perfect.
