I'll start predictions---

I think Marshall will go at Tuttle similarly to the way he did in Cedar Falls, with the exception of being willing to leave Jeremy Morgan to dig or double in the post, I also think he'll flash Wessell on a big to big double some. The whole key for Wichita is keeping Carter on the floor, because if its Morris, UNI will stretch Tuttle to the top of the key again and more or less make Morris guard him one on one in space. Morris will get there eventually, but he's not there yet.

VanVleet will have a better game than he did in Cedar Falls, but it won't be quite up to the standards of his last couple of weeks, lets say 18, 5 boards, 5 dimes. Morgan does another nice job on Baker and holds him to a similar game as he had in CF, 13-15 points.

There's just something about this UNI team and breaking streaks and I think they do it again, barely.

UNI 59
WSU 55

No matter the outcome, what a great stage for the Valley. The Roundhouse will be absolutely electric on Saturday Afternoon!

This game is hard to predict, it could go either way. Tuttle is a monster and I have no idea how we are going to contain him but I do know that Marshall is a masterful game planner. Whatever we did last time we faced didn't work and I'm sure there will be a different approach. We have to get a full game out of Carter, and Morris must play better than he did last night. Fred, Ron and Tekele will show up, I have no doubt about this. I'd like to see some pressing, we seem to play better when we speed the game up. Hope for a good showing on national TV either way.

If wsu doesn't shoot well it won't be a close game (and good defensive teams like UNI, won't let wsu shoot well). If wsu shoots well then it will be a nailbiter. Unfortunately I think UNI is a team that Wsu doesn't match up well with - a team with a skilled big man who also has a bunch of makers.

I think that this games down to UNI's ability to knock down shots. There is no way that Wichita can have the same approach they did last time with trying to play Tuttle 1 on 1 so when they double, Tuttle does a good job of finding the open man, but will UNI knock down the shots.

Washpun only goes left. Just throwing that out there. Seriously, even when he goes right, he's going to try to finish left. Not stopping that was the real problem WSU had in the first meeting. It created all sorts of problems. Ria'n Holland was the only WSU player that forced Washpun right, and he threw up two ugly "shots" off the backboard. Everything else was left, and it allowed the defense to be diced.

I expect a much closer game this time. WSU has a real problem trying to deal with Tuttle. But this time out I think the Shox guards play much better. That first game Baker and VanVleet missed a lot of shots they normally make. I don't think that happens again. Not at home.

I say it's a nail biter to the end. 60-59 Shox win is my prediction.

Was listening to a podcast with Jerry Palm last night and he believes that if WSU is swept by UNI (including the conf championship), then WSU will be a bubble team at 26-5 on Selection Sunday because they lack any wins over surefire tourney teams. Their best win is Tulsa who is on the bubble right now.

Anyone else believe this?

There's no way we're a bubble team even if we lose the next 2 games. Worst case, we may drop down to a 6-8 seed.

This is true and nobody seems to be able to stop it. I don't know if its because Wes looks so damn goofy and unorthodox when he's got the ball or what it is, but everybody forces him right and somehow he ends up in the air finishing with his left hand.

Washpun is one of those freaky athletic guys that isn't a natural basketball player, so everything looks so damn difficult for him.
