"New" Hulman Center in the works

I really hope this goes through. It would be even better if they could figure out a way to hold football games in there and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. This would be a GIANT upgrade for Indiana State and the city of Terre Haute. I doubt we have lost recruits in the past because of the Hulman Center but this certainly can't hurt our chances of getting some better recruits. The new Rec center we built a few years back has went over wonderfully with all student athletes and I think a new Hulman Center will be the same. Here's to big things to come for the Trees!

Exciting news... Hopefully it happens.

I didn't read anything in there that would make me think an indoor football facility would be part of it. What makes you think that might happen, and to be frank, what makes you think that would be a good idea (think UNI-Dome basketball)?

This expansion/renovation plan was funded in the budget passed last week by the state house of representatives. If we can get the state senate to include the funding in its budget, it's a go!

This is beyond fantastic news for ISU basketball!!! :bounce:

There have been rumors/plans for years about building a new football stadium but there isn't really any suitable land around campus. The current football stadium is about a mile and a half away from campus and in a pretty terrible spot. Just wishful thinking.

Hopefully this works out for Indy St fans. This would certainly be a huge asset for you.

Will this be crowd sourced? Sorry I couldn't resist given what HCGL had to do for new uniforms in the off season. The renovation will be an asset to Indiana State and the Valley.

Go Valley!
