Disappointing, but a hell of a fun game.

I strongly dislike a lot of IlSt's online fanbase, but I really like their team. They have a fun style of play. They're going to be extremely good the next two years.

Gotta hope IlSt wins the tourney to give us a third bid now.

Funny ... if IlSt wins tomorrow, WSU and UNI's resumes actually both get inflated with an extra two top 50 RPI/tournament team wins going into the selection process. I wonder if that actually helps them with the committee or just with the ESPN graphics/talking heads.

Not at all.

I guess it won't matter if we can beat LUC and then beat ISUr, but otherwise no it is not good. In fact is isn't even good for the final tomorrow on CBS. If it was a 3rd WSU vs UNI game that would have been the best for the conference.

If Illinois State loses to UNI tomorrow, unquestionably, not good for the conference.

If Illinois State beats UNI tomorrow ... debatable. Three bids, three teams capable of making tournament runs, and both UNI/WSU add a pair of top 50 RPI wins to their own resumes with IlSt slipping in.

If Illinois State wins tomorrow, yes. If not, no.

My first priority was a top-11 showdown on CBS in front of a national audience. Now that that's off the table, I'm rooting for a 3rd bid (think West Coast Conference with San Diego Toreros in 08, I believe, who actually then stunned Connecticut in OT in NCAAT).

I was really hoping for another panther shox game. But the redbirds deserved this one. I just hope this doesn't hurt the Shox ncaa seating too much.

Was hoping for another seed building win on Sunday. This does not help UNI for that so I dont understand cheering for ISU by UNI fans unless they are planning to do so again tomorrow.

Personally, I'm completely cool with it dropping us to a 6 seed.

4/5 seed in Kentucky's region is death. And thanks to geographic preferences built into the brackets, very high chance we end up in Kentucky's region if we get a 4/5 seed. No thanks.

We had an outside chance of moving up to a 3 seed with a win over UNI, and we have a decent chance of falling to a 6 seed with a loss to IlSt. Worst case scenario for us might have been a loss to UNI, which would have nearly guaranteed us Kentucky's region.

Holy Cow, what a game. How is Knight and Lynch not first team?

I don't know all his stats but in my book Cotton will always be a player of the year. He is tough as nails and can come through with tremendous effort..
