First MVC Coach to Cash In?

We have already talked who is going to get fired - but which coach is likely to use their success to cash in and leave their program?

Jacobson if he goes to the Final Four. Otherwise Marshall, and I don't think Marshall is going anywhere.

I could be wrong but I don't t think Jacobsen or Marshall is going anywhere for a few years. I think both are pretty happy where they are.

Marshall once Baker and or Van Vleet are gone. Could get interesting if Texas really does come calling. Nobody has money like Texas.

Jake is getting a huge raise that should be announced in the before the tournament. He'll hit 7 figures with this one. He will retire at UNI.

Coach Jacobson strikes me as the kind of coach, who believes in "Don't mess with happy."

If he retired there, it would be a big plus for the university, Cedar Falls and fans.

I think it will be Muller - he will try and use his CBI/NIT success this year to make a move as he realizes that as long as he stays in the MVC he will be the 5th or 6th best coach in the conference.

Honestly, if Muller has a good season next year like an NCAA tourney run I think he will take the biggest paycheck out of town. He strikes me as that type of guy. Of course I could be very very wrong on my assessment of him.

I don't necessarily see Jacobson or Marshall going anywhere. I think they both realize the grass isn't always greener. I mean Jake saw what happened to McDermott at Iowa State. I don't think he wants a repeat of that. Of course it would be interesting to see what kind of offers both Jake and Marshall are getting.

This about Jake is 100% true

If Cause or UNC wants a new coach to get them through the s*** storm they are about to hit I could see them making a nice run at Marshall. Don't know that he'd take it though.

Muller is an ISU alum. I don't know what kind of water that holds with him though. He just strikes me as a "normal" coach though in chasing the bigger check , for some reason

Lansing, even with his 3rd place finish this year seems to have a seat getting warm with a decent number of fans so that may push him out.

3. Marshall

If ISUb fans think they can do better than Lansing, they're insane.

They just crowd-funded their uniforms for God sakes.
