My favorite, in St Louis, used to be "Harry's".

It's changed over the years and I can still recommend.....However, after a visit to St Louis, a few weeks ago.....I found "360 on Broadway", at The Ball Park Hilton.
Rooftop lounge. Beautiful view. Great food and nice selection of Specialty Cocktails.
Think it's a big hit during baseball season.

Can never go wrong with "Tony's" on Market....Just be ready to open your wallet.

Fitz in The Loop, as someone posted earlier.
BEST ROOTBEER IN THE WORLD!

Or, just go down to Soulard (between Brewery and Downtown) and knock around in the neighborhood.
When I was living in Soulard, hated the tourist. But, it's an interesting area to explore.
Lottza off-beat shopping, galleries, pubs, eateries, ect...

Tuckers on 12th Street...great steaks...good price
J. D. McGurks, next door...fun Irish pub

For anyone with families, just wanted to make you aware that the "museum" under the arch is now closed, and I don't think you can even get into the Arch unless you buy a ticket to the top now, which you have to get at the old courthouse.

Pappy's is always good. Bailey's range was just ok the one time we went. Crown Candy has a great lunch menu if you want to make it there.

This will only appeal to a certain demographic but 2 places I have had the pleasure of going to recently were the Silver Ballroom on Morganford and the Orbit Pinball Lounge in Maplewood. Both places have tons on punk rock music on the jukebox and dozens of new and old pinball machines.

Both are less than 15 minute drives from Scottrade Center and would offer something different for those of you that may be into stuff like that.

One note, The Silver Ballroom allows smoking, it can be overwhelming in there at times.

Thank you for this recommendation. We had a great time at the Orbit Pin Ball Lounge in Maple Wood. Also found a lot of cool bars in the area and my wife loved the doughnut shop. We didn't have enough time in the area so next year when we go back we will check out the Side Project brewery and a few other bars.

Ballpark Village is AWESOME.

What a neat feature to have and what a great situation for the Valley Tournament.

It was sad to see how run down and abandoned the Union Station was as that place used to be a neat and charming facility with plenty to do.

10,000 commercials for the place during each game proclaiming it to be better than ever...

Maybe they should put up a sign or something. I saw no exterior "Union Station Mall" signage. Staying at the Pear Tree, it was convenient for grabbing a quick lunch before the game and hitting up Hard Rock Cafe. But I was expecting more.

Bailey's Range was unique and pretty good. They brought us out the wrong appetizer (I guess "Onion Rings" sounds like "Chicken Wings" when there's a lot of ambient noise). They gave us both for free.

Bailey's Range, Rooster, Bailey's Chocolate Bar, the Fifth Wheel and several others are all owned by David Bailey and considering how awesome the first 2 were I can only imagine how good the others are as well.
[Insert snappy comeback]

Maplewood is a great area. Agree with everyone else, Ballpark Village is a great addition to the city.
