Official MVCfans.com prediction - 8th place

Each week we will open a poll for users to predict the end of season finish for the MVC 2010-2011 basketball season. We will work in reverse order, concluding with the predicted MVC champion chosen by our users between the last two teams remaining in week 9 (just in time for MVC media days).

Last week, Southern Illinois was selected as the 9th place finisher.

Week 3 - Who will finish in 8th place during the 2010-2011 MVC mens basketball season?

Drake. One year away from being a contender. Young was one of my favorite players and will be very hard to replace. I'm interested in seeing VanDeest improve on his solid frosh season, and I think the Bulldogs got a steal with landing Rice. If Wedel picks up some of the points lost with Young and Templeton Drake could finish top 6.

I don't see ISU Red in the top half this season. I do see ISU Blue there though! ISU Red better enjoy the non-conference schedule 'cause it won't be much fun after that.

Your caption on this poll does not match the first two weeks and is therefore confusing. It has the same caption as another thread. I think you are missing a lot of voters as a result.

I don't think we will start off in conference play that well, but I think we will finish much stronger than expected.

I voted for Wichita State. I don't think that Wichita State will finish 8th, I just know that the Shockers getting votes in this slot will drive their fans absolutely nuts! Bonkers is more like it! It won't take long until they are on Shockernet complaining about the chuckleheads on Valley Talk, err mvcfans, and how they don't know anything! :lol:

It was a toss up between both ISU schools. In the end IllSt was my pick.
