Three teams

Shocks, UNI and Aces sit on top of any rankings, listings, you care to look at. Everyone else is ions away.

Only Valley team beside the Bears that I've seen is Shocks. They were impressive against UNLV, despite the officiating and missed free throws, but are so dependent on FVF, kinda scary for a Shocker fan, I'm sure, about what they'd be like without him. With him, Top 40. Without him, nothing special, maybe Top 100. UNI had that improbable win against Carolina, so they register as #2, and Evansville's #3 only because no one else can seriously challenge them, it seems. What this means is...........

The Valley is down.

And room to grow for anyone who's got a surge in'em.

Ions away is pretty close. I'd put them miles away. LUC, ISUr, ISUb, and Drake are all playing at the lower end of expectations.

FVV is incredibly important to WSU. UNIs front court is better than Wichitas and their guards aren't far behind. EMock might end up as POY.

While I do agree that FVV is irreplaceable (along with Baker), our 2 best guards not name Fred or Ron are Shamet and Frankamp. We really haven't gotten a true taste of what either of them can do yet and definitely not how they run the offense together. That will be what we have going forward after this year.

lol ok.

I'm sure if you take an all-american point guard off of any team, they're going to suffer. Thanks for that earth-shattering analysis.

Sooooo, still a contender for the league title? Sounds about right.

I'm not worried.

To say UNI's front court is better than WSU's is a stretch. No disrespect for UNI's front court, they have possibly played better to date than WSU's, (WSU has played a tougher schedule) but no sale on better than. Shaq, Bush, Rauno, even Kelly, will be ahead (possibly shoulders as well) of UNI's front court in another month. Add in a healthy Anton and there will be no comparison. Their guards/wings are competitive with WSU, but a healthly Fred, a healthy Landry, again WSU has the advantage, though not by a lot, even possibly without Landry. With the continued development of Zach and Markis, we will have a further advantage.
But, agree UNI seems to be the next best team. Marty needs to pull his head out quick and get 3 more bench guys a lot more playing time and integrated into a functional unit or he's going to reap the benefits of coaching a talented group of players to mediocrity, and see the program decline from there.

Bingo. Hope folks took my advice and got their shots in while the gettin' was good.

WSU STILL without 2 of the top 7 on the roster, and took down 2 Top 30 teams this week. Held both teams averaging 82+ppg to 50.
