In a completely unrelated note - it was 41-40 with 13:32 remaining.

Wing and Brown are very nice players for the Aces. For teams that try to concentrate on Mock and Ballentine those 2 can make them pay.

Hinson has the Salukis playing much above expectations. After the defections, I thought SIU would have another year of serious strubbling.

Edit: I've got to leave "strubbling" in this post. I couldn't even figure out what I meant at first. It was supposed to be "struggling".

SIU is putting a pretty respectable product on the court. The UNI/SIU game looks like 2 pretty good teams.

Great game to watch. Good to see the crowd back in Carbondale. The Salukis looked pretty darned good. Beane has the shot down.

SIU may actually have a legitimate shot at Top 3, especially if they shoot the ball like that. I'm just wondering how they lost to a 300 RPI SIU-Edwardsville team at home.

It's a shame they have a pretty good team this year with nothing but a 300+ SOS to work off of. But a win over the Panthers definitely is an attention-grabber.

.

I've watched SIUE play a few times this year and I can tell you they are a terribly streaky team. They basically gave away the SLU game and somehow hung onto the SIUC game. They have some talent and can beat you if they get going.
