Thanks. I have no faith in our HC but I do like a lot of our young players. They played hard and weren't intimidated by a clearly superior Shockers team. Church in particular is just a fine young player. He got posterized by Baker. But he also blocked several shots and altered some others in the lane.

I do think the shox are back on track now that they are healthy. Didn't expect Frankamp and McDuffie to hurt us like that. 2 future all MVC players there. Possibly all American.

The Bears PG is very good despite his diminutive statute. I have previously been impressed with Kendrix. While Church can't get his own shot, he was much less raw than I was expecting. Dixon and Kreklow (I butchered that) were nice players with a future. A lot to like about the roster, but one can't help but to believe that the some key pieces will be missing by 2018.

Church has shown the ability at times to get his own shot. I think he's the type that will just keep getting better in all aspects. You did nail down a big concern for us. Will we keep these fine young players? And our recruiting class next year looks very good as well. Does losing Lusk make it more or less likely that they stay? Regardless Lusk just isn't a good in game HC. He can recruit but.....

We need to just make the move and hope we retain most of our young players. Otherwise we are doomed to mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

Hamilton and Church are similar in a lot of ways. Both are Freshman, both are raw, both are big, strong, and super athletic, great dunkers. The only differences are that Church is getting more game experience where Hamilton gains his experience in practice against other super athletes and Hamilton has a very nice outside shot. Hamilton isn't always where he is supposed to be on defense, or offense and makes questionable decisions at this time. A last similarity of the two is that if Church was on the Shocker team, he wouldn't be getting any game minutes either.

There are some similarities. Size, athleticism, lacking some polish. Church is more of a traditional post and a stronger defensive player. Hamilton has more perimeter ability and is more dynamic as a scorer.
