The wichita fans who believe the league is out to get them are hilarious. Mock has been the best player in the valley this season to date. Period! FVV being injured might or might not have something to do with this, but the fact that people would give him the nod as this point has nothing to do with wichita hatred.

There was a time when the team that won the conference got the POY award and COY award, right or wrong. That is no longer the case.

And it shouldn't be. I can only imagine what WSU fans would say about Mock if he was a Shocker.

EMock would look good in black and yellow! Averaging 10 points and seven rebounds in Wichita, I would insist he be first team All-MVC.

BTW, I Checked and the conference champion also had the POY every season from 01-02 to 10-11. That was as far back as I could go. In 2011-12 WSU won the championship, but not POY. First time in history as best I can tell. In 2012-13, when WSU took second, again the champion had the POY on the roster. In 2013-14, WSU had an undefeated season AND the MVC POY. Last year WSU won again, but again they were denied the POY. BTW, SIU won three POYs in a row during their dominance, so it can't just be that they want to make sure everyone gets a fair shake.

EMock is an excellent player. I would not be upset if he wins.

I am guessing you are probably pretty close on what Mock would average for WSU. Everyone knows he doesn't have to fight his own teammates for rebounds.

His 39 minutes a game doesn't hurt him. The conference champion should get the POY.
