Where you been Jayball? Too cold in the great white north? Arizona's waiting.

Right now WSU and MSU are definitely looking like the top two teams in the valley and Creighton is definitely looking like a 3rd or 4th place team. Based on that, WSU should win this game. Creighton has had good individual performances and flashes of brilliance in their previous games but will need for all of those to magically combine tonight to secure a win.

I do not have a good feeling about this game.

WSU had some guys trying to be heroes against MSU instead of sticking with more of a team concept. After losing to MSU, the hero complex might get worse instead of better. If that happens, then this will be the second of a potential string of bad games for WSU.

MSU's perimeter D looked like the old SIU "in your shorts" D. That frustrated WSU's perimeter players. If CU's perimeter defenders can apply that same type of pressure, WSU's perimeter players may have another frustrating game.

MSU showed the world how to stop the Shox transition game. If CU stops that and harasses the perimeter players, WSU could implode again. MSU's play caused the Shocker implosion. If CU can continue the same patterns, the implosion could continue.

I was expecting a Shocker W in Omaha, but right now I think WSU has to deal with losing one they don't think they should have lost and deal with how they lost it (only scoring 59 points). If the players don't deal with that properly, it's going to be a long night for them in Omaha.

What's going on in players' heads can account for points on or off the scoreboard. WSU has the potential to have negative points associated with their mindset going into the game. If that's the case and CU exploits it, it's a BlueJay win - and possibly a lopsided game.

You're right on Aargh, problem though, CU has some very good players, just not alot of them.

unfortunately, i think the streak ends tonight. it started when i was still at cu, and i am closing in on 40. unless lawson, korver, Manigat and Young knock down about 10 3s b/n them i could see this game being double digits for the shox. wsu is longer and clearly more athletic on the wings.
