I'd like to see FVV be DRose's backup on the Bulls

Mock alone has more blocks than 6 of the 10 MVC TEAMS. He has more than double the rebounds of every MVC player but one. He's gotten demonstrably better each and every year, and his team has 20+ wins. Replace him with an average player, and Evansville probably only gets 5-6 league wins (his points accounted for the winning margin in 16 of Evansville's 22 wins). Player of the Year goes to an individual. The best teams already get a much better award.... going to the NCAA tournament and recognition for winning the league.

I think he certainly deserves one of the individual awards.... In fact, I think it would be an injustice for him not to get it. Some of the logic here, if extended, would mean that nobody not on the regular season conference winner deserves any recognition whatsoever. Scholar athlete, 2nd team going to the end of WSU's bench, etc. And you could bet if THAT happened, it would be used as another argument to suggest that the league is unworthy of having WSU as a member. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Co-PoY should go to Ron/Fred. Anything else is just silly.
Shox play as a team and win as a team (indicated by their 4 game lead over the 2nd place team)
Shockers should dominate the categories this year--- as it should be... as it will be.

Next year will be a slightly different story as the jerseys who win will be the same but with the player names different.

So wait do the Shox play as a team and win as a team or do Fred and Ron carry them?

Sounds a lot like the other Shocker fans. So is it just a Fred and Ron show or do they also have the best supporting cast?

I mean I have already said that it should be FVV, and it is one of the rare occasions where the MVP is also the MOP and the POY. He had the best year, and also is the most valuable to his team. Where I think the issue is, is when you guys claim it can't be anyone from any other team. Especially when the player who led the NATION in rebounds is in the league.

It would be cool if Evansville led the conference in the standings once in a while, for even a game or two.
The victors usually goes the spoils. When Gonzaga was dominating the WCC, was San Francisco's 22.4 ppg scorer stealing all the awards for his 5th place team?

Ok I'm going to try to go back to logic after another Shocker win and after a couple of losses that the media considered bad losses in the Valley to UNI and ISUR.

The Shox dominate the Vallet by FOUR games. Repeat FOUR games. Do I need to repeat? Additionally they won the entire league by an average of 20 points. Do I need to repeat 20?

Everyone agrees that the Shox have the best team. I just wish we had the best players. If Mock, Ballentine, Bean, or Washpun were on our team, they wouldn't have averaged 35 minutes and therefore wouldn't have their averages. They wouldn't have been in our top two players.

As a case in point, Grady at CSU averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds and he was the Horizon POY. At Wichita State, he averages 7 points and 4 rebounds. Fred and Ron still are our best two players and if any of these other players were on the Shox, they would be our 3rd best player at beat.

I'm sorry, can you repeat that?

You should be tarred and feathered for that irresponsible logic. Stop making sense. There are some on here that dont have that genetic logic isoenzyme, therefore have no idea how to conceptualize your point.
