Pretty good hook for a country song 99.

That is, Wichita State thinks they are bigger than the valley and that any league would be happy to have them when in fact no one has expressed interest in them (that we are aware). Isn't that sort of an unofficial definition of "too big for their britches"?

Yes, there is that possibility.

It's good to see someone from the other little 7 schools step up and take their turn being lambasted by the gods from the land of wheat.

When Creighton left, it was obvious that WSU was going to step up and take their place and continue to set the bar for the MVC. If they leave, the conference doesn't have any other school similarly committed to excellence.
I hope you all enjoy irrelevance...

"take their place"???? What the hell did Creighton EVER do for the MVC?
National Championship in any sport? Nope
Sweet Sixteen? Nope
Elite Eight? Nope
Final Four(s)? Nope
I'm not even sure if they even made the round of 32
Never has a school lucked out in winning at St Louis as much as the BJs and then do nothing with it in the tournament.

What they did do was raise the collective RPI of the conference and provide an extra NCAA team from the Valley each year.
