A.J. Green is unreal, that shot he hit to cut it to 1 was insane

They haven't beaten slouchy teams either. ISUr Valpo Drake and now UNI. Can't dig that kind of hole and expect to climb out of it. Super valiant effort though.

If UNI can reel off eight or nine after this we can maybe start talking about it again, but I don't think we are consistent enough to do that.
Real bummer of a performance. SIU plays some great defense, and our lack-of-defense allowed ya'll to go on a run, get confidence, and it all went downhill after that. Extremely similar to ISU Red. Hopefully we learn from this. Gotta play focused for all 40 minutes and against everyone on the schedule.
Huh? You guys are about to take the lead as I write this. And it will probably be a steamroller on these last five minutes.
What are you on about?

OK, I was wrong. But really, there was no reason to give up on UNI at that point.
You're probably right about the one-bid thing, unfortunately. Could still happen if UNI runs the table (and I wouldn't rule that out--they are so freaking good) for the rest of the season and then loses in Sunday to Loyola or Bradley.

Unfortunately, I'll have an extremely bitter taste about this one as the officiating was simply inexcusable. Obviously I'm biased but it really felt like SIU's aggressive D was allowed to get away with much more than UNI. That flagrant foul on Green from being fouled by Brown was one of the strangest and dumbest calls I've seen. I just don't understand in what world that is a flagrant when the contact and foul was 100% initiated by the other party.
