I really think Loyola is the better team. But drake is just amazing the way they have kept clicking along despite all the injuries.

Should be a great matchup.

I personally think Drake is the better team, when they had their whole team. Without our leading scorer, second leading scorer assist leader and second leading rebounder, Loyola clearly has the advantage. If the Dogs can hit some shots from the outside, it should be close.

I am hoping for both to play really well tomorrow. Also will be rooting for both to make the tourney.

What should we be rooting for if we want a two bid MVC? A close Loyola win or a close Drake win? I think the answer seems obvious but maybe not. I know Drake has two Q3 losses which few bubble teams have right now (a few have one I think only one other one has two) but they have as many or more Q1 and Q2 wins than so many other teams. I know most teams still have opportunities to build their resumes but I feel like Drake has done enough. I hope the same is true for Loyola if they should find their fate in the hands of the committee but I have seen my own school and other MVC schools bitten by the selection committee so many times that I am very leery that it will happen again. I hope as long as the game is close especially the committee will give Elgin the same sendoff they gave Rick Byrd a few years ago when they let Belmont in. I know this sounds crazy but I think Drake's resume is as good as that of Loyola. 6-1 against the top two quadrants is an amazing mark few bubble teams can match. I hope they weigh how many opportunities Drake had relative to other bubble teams in their decision as well even though Drake could have possibly scheduled a little better to help themselves even more even though this run they went on was pretty surprising to be fair. Can the team that loses try to get themselves another opportunity this year by scheduling a game to boost their resumes or is it too late for that? I heard Lunardi mention that SLU might try this. Maybe the loser of the MVC Final should try to take them on if possible to try to grab themselves a resume building win.

Loyola has to be locks at this point. Drake might be locks but if you want 2 bids, probably rooting for Drake is the way to go.

Regarding the proposal to play additional games, Drake has already played the maximum number of regular season games (27).

According to most experts Loyola is a lock while Drake is at least close to the bubble. I personally think both are in unless Loyola just blows Drake away in this final in which case Drake might be among that "first 4 out" group.

Both teams deserve a bid but we all know mid majors tend to get shafted by the selection committee. If we want the best assurance of getting 2 teams in then I think you hope for a Drake win today.

When was the last time both teams playing in the championship felt good (Loyola) and relatively good (Drake) about getting an at-large bid if they lost? Takes away some of the "playing for their tournament lives" storyline we are used to in Arch Madness Sunday.

In the interest of the league, a Drake win is WAY better today.

Don't need a full week of the national media and committee figuring out that Drake played absolutely nobody in the non-con. I'm frankly shocked that Drake is even considered bubble-in at this point.
